My lovely Winnie the Pooh umbrella had broken but, rather than throw the material away, I turned it into a handy bag. After removing the spokes, I laid the material flat and cut out a rectangle shape. Next, I cut straps from the leftover material, before sewing the rectangle into a bag and using the Velcro umbrella tie to fold it up. It’s lightweight, foldable and waterproof. Now, I always have a bag on me for spontaneous shopping sprees.
