I needed some games for the children at my daughter Olivia’s third birthday, but didn’t want anything too expensive. I decided to make a piñata by putting newspaper around inflated balloons and sticking it down with a paste of flour and water. I then let it dry, before repeating to form three coats. I left a hole at the top to fill with party treats and decorated it with tissue paper. It made a great piñata, and was so easy I made two.
