The TV Choice Awards are back, and now it’s time to help crown the kings and queens of TV by selecting your favourites from the shortlist in the final round of voting! While there are loads of fantastic categories to vote in, there’s one that’s always guaranteed to bring plenty of drama, laughs, and unforgettable moments - the soaps! Who can resist the captivating storylines, vibrant newcomers, and those performances that keep us on the edge of our seats, week after week?

As well as awards for Best Soap Newcomer and Best Soap Performance up for grabs, there’s the big one – Best Soap where we celebrate the shows that have kept us hooked all year long. Let’s take a look at the nominees and help you decide who gets your vote.

First up, there’s Emmerdale, where life in the Yorkshire Dales is never dull! This year has seen dramatic farm feuds, shocking betrayals, and secrets that rocked the Dingle family to its core. Belle’s journey to reclaim her life has had fans rooting for her, and if you’ve been captivated by the twists and turns in the Dales, then Emmerdale deserves your vote!

Or perhaps Coronation Street is where your heart lies. Life on the cobbles has been filled with emotional twists and intense showdowns! Paul Foreman’s brave battle with Motor Neurone Disease has delivered tear-jerking scenes that had us reaching for the tissues, while the shocking revelations that rocked the Platt family kept us glued to our screens. If you’ve been engrossed in Weatherfield’s highs and lows, you know where to cast your vote!

Over on EastEnders, Albert Square has been buzzing with tension and drama too! Iconic returns like Yolande’s and jaw-dropping showdowns have kept us on the edge of our seats. With simmering rivalries and new power struggles, EastEnders has delivered gasp-worthy moments we just can’t get enough of. If you’ve loved every bit of the juicy action, it’s time to back ‘the Square’ with your vote!

And let’s not forget Doctors - the unsung hero of the soaps! While it may not have the explosive twists of others, it’s the heartwarming, relatable storylines that keep us tuning in week after week. From everyday challenges to real-life dilemmas, Doctors delivers authentic drama that resonates. If this comforting series has been your go-to watch this year, why not give it the recognition it truly deserves with your vote?

Best Soap Newcomer

This year has also introduced some fresh faces that deserve your attention! Isabelle Smith has made waves as Frankie Osborne in Hollyoaks, winning over fans with her emotional journey of self-discovery and resilience. If you’ve been rooting for Frankie’s triumphs, Isabelle’s earned your vote!

Meanwhile, Sydney Martin has brought charm to Coronation Street as Betsy Swain. Her arrival added new energy to the street, and if you’ve loved Betsy’s impact, it’s time to show your support! Over in Emmerdale, Beth Cordingly has shaken up the village with her bold portrayal of Ruby Fox-Milligan. If you appreciate a character who speaks her mind, then Beth is your girl! And don’t overlook Jack Carroll as Bobby Crawford in Coronation Street. Known for his comedic talent, Jack has showcased real depth in his role. If Bobby’s journey has kept you hooked, give Jack your vote!

Best Soap Performance

It’s not just about new faces - our favourite stars have delivered unforgettable performances that had us glued to our screens this year too! Peter Ash’s portrayal of Paul Foreman in Coronation Street was both heartbreaking and powerful, handling the sensitive storyline about MND with raw emotion. If you found yourself crying for Paul, a vote for Peter is a must!

In Emmerdale, Eden Taylor-Draper has shone as Belle King. Her inspiring storyline about overcoming her past and mental health struggles has touched many hearts. If Belle’s strength resonated with you, Eden deserves your vote!

Over on EastEnders, Angela Wynter made a brilliant return as Yolande Trueman, bringing back the sass and confidence we all missed. If Yolande’s comeback had you cheering, it’s time to back Angela! Finally, Jeff Hordley as Cain Dingle in Emmerdale has captivated audiences with his tough exterior and vulnerable moments. If you can’t get enough of Cain’s drama, Jeff’s your pick!
