The 2026 TV Choice Awards have now wrapped; the winners have been revealed and there were plenty of big moments for TV fans to talk about.
With viewers voting across 18 categories, the awards celebrate the shows that have kept us hooked over the past year. But let’s be honest, when it comes to drama, shock twists and moments that leave us gasping, there’s one category everyone really cares about…Best Soap.
This year, the award went to Emmerdale and fans will know exactly why.
It’s been a huge year in the village, packed with explosive storylines, emotional scenes and characters pushed to their limits. From sudden exits and surprise returns to storylines that had everyone talking the next day, Emmerdale delivered the kind of drama soap fans live for.
But Best Soap was just one of many awards handed out on the night, with plenty more wins, surprises and fan favourites still to discover.
