If you're out and about, keeping the kids entertained over half term, save money by dining in one of the many restaurants that offer FREE kids meals during the school holidays.

After a busy day exploring London with my husband and two young sons Odhran and Reuben, we stopped off at Prezzo in Victoria Station for dinner.
Kids can enjoy a delicious three course meal for free at Prezzo, everyday from 9 February to 2 March. You can get one free kids meal for each accompanying adult who buys a main. The offer is available for children under the age of 12, just mention it to staff when ordering.
This was our first time eating in Prezzo - the Italian restaurant chain that has branches throughout the UK - and we were impressed by the range of options on the menu. From a broad offering of pizza and pasta, to burgers and grilled dishes, and salads, the menu had something for everyone, with plenty of veggie options too.
Kids menus are often limited, but at Prezzo, the boys had a variety of pizzas, pasta dishes and burgers to choose from.

Odhran opted for vegetable sticks with dip to start, pepperoni pizza for his main, and a build your own Sundae for dessert (there's an additional £1 charge for this dessert option). Reuben chose garlic bread, followed by Margherita pizza, and chocolate dippers (strips of baked dough serve with Nutella) for dessert.
The kids meal at Prezzo would ordinarily have cost £8.50, which I think is a really good deal, as the boys cleared their plates. But the fact that kids eat for free during half term, makes Prezzo a really good choice if you're looking to treat your family to a meal out during the holidays.
My husband and I shared some olives to start. I ordered the spinach and ricotta cannelloni (£18). It arrived with an appetising bubbling hot top layer of cheese and béchamel sauce, and the tangy tomato sauce made it really flavoursome. My husband chose the chicken Milanese (£21) - a lightly breaded chicken breast, which he drizzled with chilli oil. This came with a choice of pasta or fries, but my husband went with a salad. He was very happy with his choice of main.

For dessert, I indulged in the most delicious hot sticky toffee pudding. It was smothered in a generous serving of toffee sauce, and a scoop of creamy vanilla ice-cream. But eating this in peace proved a challenge, as my husband and sons kept sticking their spoons in for a taste. For a sugary fix, my husband went for the lemon meringue pie - a lemon custard tart, topped with baked meringue. You're looking around £8.50 for a dessert, which all sounded so appetising. I will have to come back to try the tiramisu!
The drinks menu also had a lot to offer. I had a lovely house white wine, which had the perfect balance between fruit and tartness, and my husband had an Italian beer we'd not tried before - Birrificio Angelo Poretti, which we'll be looking out for again on drinks lists. A small house white cost £6.50, and a bottle of lager cost £5.25. Prezzo also serve good cocktails, with a two for one on the same cocktail offer during certain times.
Overall, we can't believe it's taken us until now to visit Prezzo. It's got a great selection on the menu, the food was excellent, the staff were friendly, and with kids eat free, it's an affordable dining out option for families. We'll definitely be back! Find out more here
