Say it with flowers
Instead of spending our wedding budget on flowers, I crocheted myself a bouquet. I'd never done it before, but quickly got the hang of it. I stitched beads into the centre of each flower, then attached wire stems. It added a personal touch to our big day. Kirsty McKenna, Coventry, W Mids
Happy gathering
I wanted to make some decorations for my grandson's wedding. I asked family and friends to collect wine corks. Once I had enough, I decorated them. I split the corks into two piles then, using bits and bobs from around the house, I turned one pile into brides and the other into grooms. I know my grandson will just love them. Border jolly
I had some old photo frames that were looking a bit drab, so I came up with an idea to jazz them up. I asked friends and family to give me any odd buttons they had lying around, then stuck them to the photo frame. I think they look beautiful. Denise Feltwell, Soham, Cambs
Reflections of our love
I wanted a Welcome to our Wedding sign, but the ones I liked were too pricey for my budget. So I took an old mirror and sprayed it with silver paint. Once the paint had dried, I used a hot-glue gun to attach the flowers. Then I carefully painted on the welcome message. It's perfect for our September wedding and will be a beautiful reminder of our special day. Tiffany Crawford, Scarborough, N Yorks
Light touch
When I couldn't find any table centrepieces I liked for my wedding, I decided to make my own. I bought some rustic candle lanterns and artificial sunflowers. I removed the heads, stems and leaves from the sunflowers. Then I superglued the leaves to the base of the lantern and arranged the flowers around them. They really brightened up our wedding reception and now they're brightening up our home. Emma Hall, Padiham, Lancs
