Roller find
I needed a new roller blind for my kitchen window, but struggled to get one to fit. Then I realised many of my tea towels were the right size. So I removed my old blind, leaving the roller in place. I put double-sided sticky tape on the back of the roller and stuck my tea towel to it. It looks fab and reminds me of a holiday I went on too.Patricia Clark, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
On the case
I had three identical eyeshadow cases, but each one contained a different shade. Whenever I was in a rush, I always opened the eyeshadow that I wanted last. To save time, I attached a piece of tape with the eyeshadow's colour on the outside of the case. Now, I can quickly identify which shade I want and don't waste time getting ready. In the frame
I try my best to recycle bits and bobs from around the house, and when I wanted to give an old picture frame a new lease of life, I knew exactly what to do. I took an old copy of Take a Break and pulled out the pages. Then I rolled them up to form tubes and secured them with tape. Once I'd made enough tubes, I cut them to size and glued them around the edges of the frame. Finally, I used a coat of PVA glue to varnish it.Sorella Dyer, St Columb, Cornwall
Domino effect
My husband Michael had some leftover decking boards, so he decided to turn them into a game. He cut them into lots of smaller rectangles and sanded them until they were smooth. Then our daughter Katie drew dots on to them with a marker pen to turn them into dominoes. Now, when the weather gets better we've got the perfect outdoor game to play.Julie Trolley, Ruskington, Lincs
Colour pallet
I had an old wooden pallet going to waste in my garden. I tipped it on its side and leant it against my fence to create some instant shelves. I filled the shelves with colourful pots and I can't wait to plant some flowers in them when the weather warms up.Rebecca Westall, Erpingham Norfolk
Hoppy meal
My rabbits Benjamin and Thumper enjoy eating rose petals, mint and apple leaves from my garden. Over the summer, I gathered a mixture of their favourite leaves. I laid them out on a tray, which I left in a warm place. Once the leaves had dried out, I chopped them up and put them in paper bag. Now, I have a stash of tasty treats for my rabbits to snack on in the winter months.Alison King, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
