When I went to put my Christmas tree up this year, I realised the stand was broken. I didn’t have time to get a new one, but after a dig around in the shed, I found an old, sturdy table leg. I slotted the trunk of the tree into the table leg and it fitted perfectly. In fact, it was better than the old stand. Now, my tree sits nice and high and there’s plenty of room for all the presents.
