Chain reaction
I had lots of items in my jewellery box, but they kept getting tangled. To separate the chains, I chose a small branch, melted some candle wax and set the branch inside this to create a unique stand. Now I hang my jewellery from it and I can paint it to match any colour scheme. Julie Paupe, Swadlincote, Derbys
Crown Jewels
I wanted a way to display my earrings but couldn't find anything suitable. Then, I had a great idea. I took an old summer hat that I no longer wore and pierced the earrings through the crown. It keeps all my earrings together and looks great as a feature in my bedroom. Katy Thorpe, East Didsbury, Manchester
Branching out
I'd been looking for a jewellery tree for years, but could never find an inexpensive one that was big enough for all my costume jewellery. In the end, I gathered some twisted branches and dried them in the airing cupboard. Then I hammered nails into the wall and balanced the branches along them. Now I have my very own designer jewellery tree. Vicki Fuery, Chilwell, Notts
Cold storage
My nan was getting rid of her old fridge. But before it went to the tip, I rescued one of the shelves. I scrubbed it clean then propped it up on my Nan's dresser so she could use it as a jewellery stand for all her earrings. Now they're displayed nicely in her room and are easy for her to reach. Ellie Parker, Llanishen, Cardiff
Hang the expense
I was fed up with constantly having to untangle my jewellery. But an old trouser hanger at the back of the wardrobe provided a solution. I used each spoke to hang different lengths of necklaces, and I reserved the top layer for bracelets and watches. Now, it hangs in my wardrobe, and I can easily add some jewellery to any outfit. _Caroline Campbell, Corby, Northant_s
