Marble marvel

My kitchen cupboard was so cluttered I couldn't get to the herbs and sauces I used regularly. So I made my own Lazy Susan using two sandwich tins. After filling the first with marbles, I placed the other on top and fitted my jars and bottles into it. Then I popped it in the cupboard. It spins round perfectly so now I can reach whatever I need with ease.

Well gel!

My nine-year-old daughter Kiera needed somewhere to store her gel pens. So we cut a milk bottle in half, glued craft paper over it and then added some shiny coloured cellophane round the top. It looks great on her desk and she feels so proud that she made it herself.

Good for the juice

After finishing a box of wine, I had an idea about how to recycle the foil bag. I cut open the top of the bag, rinsed it out, then placed peeled, fresh oranges inside. Then I squeezed the bag and made fresh orange juice. You can use the handy tap to pour the juice into your glass, then discard the pulp. When you're done just wash and re-use it.
